The PressPass panel has been set up to capture the voice of the readers - to help measure opinions, generate ideas and help keep The Press fresh and appealing to its readers.

The Press

The Press is part of the Fairfax Media Group. It is the only remaining daily newspaper in Christchurch, and has the largest circulation and most comprehensive coverage of news in the South Island. The Press has served the people of Canterbury since 1861 and has grown from a six-page, hand-set, weekly tabloid to a six-day a week, colour, broadsheet paper. The Press is now distributed throughout Canterbury, Nelson, Marlborough and the West Coast. Today, 8 out of 10 people in Christchurch and almost half of the South Island's population (aged 15 years plus) read The Press during a typical week.

We have two partners who work with us to make this an enjoyable experience for our panel members, and also to protect your privacy.

Firstly, our research partner is an exciting New Zealand research company called Futurescape. This is a company that works hard to find insights and trends that are really useful to our readers and to The Press. Futurescape has a particular interest in media type studies.

They are members of the NZ Market Research Institute and closely adhere to the highest research standards.

Supporting Futurescape is a company called Buzz Channel Limited. Buzz is an online technology specialist and they are involved to make sure that we can get feedback from our panel members very quickly and securely.
